Jefferson County Open Space
Jefferson County Open Space was established in 1972 when voters approved a one-half of one percent sales tax to acquire lands of scenic, natural and historic value and trails thereon. Continuing to preserve important lands as identified in our Master Plan, Jefferson County Open Space has acquired over 50,000 acres for the enjoyment of present and future generations.
