Botanists, working in small groups, surveyed Jefferson County open space lands.

Botanists also surveyed Boulder City and County open space lands.

They checked some species using their field guides.

The Odonata Team used sweep nets to nab damselflies and dragonflies.

Several different teams could be seen in their orange shirts as they spread out over the area.

The Amphibian-Reptile and Spider Teams both found several species on Ranson-Edwards property.

The Mammal Team carried live traps into the field.

The Mammal Team set the live traps out in a grid to survey the small mammals.

The Mammal team put out scent posts and talc to check for other species.

The Fish Team seined or electroshocked seven bodies of water.

The Fish Team gathered on the shore of the Eggleston Reservoir to examine the species they found.

A Fathead Minnow was the only species the Fish Team found.
